International Exchange Exhibition in Hanover
Exhibition dates: October 10 – 31, 2025

Opening: October 5, 2025, 2:00 – 7:00 pm, ZuKunst, pier at Stadtteilpark Linden-Süd
As part of the season’s closing event …im Fluss…, OSMOSIS 2025 begins with a prologue to the exhibition FLOATING BODIES: An installation on a boat stages the "Lichtdusche" by Franz Betz – a ritual of cleansing and the first artistic impulse ahead of the vernissage.
Between the 30-minute theme rides at 3, 4, and 5 pm, the work can be experienced on board.

With OSMOSIS 2025 – "Floating Bodies", the Kunstwolkenagentur launches an annual exhibition series dedicated to international artistic exchange. The aim is to foster creative connections across cultural and geographical boundaries and to open up new perspectives on contemporary issues.

The inaugural edition focuses on the element of water as a source of life, a symbol of change and movement, and as a medium that can connect or separate people and cultures.

In October 2025, artists from Hanover and Albuquerque (New Mexico, USA) will come together as part of a residency program. Together, they will explore ecological, social, and philosophical questions related to water. At the same time, the exhibition presents works that juxtapose American and German artistic positions, creating a multifaceted and thought-provoking experience.

"Floating Bodies" invites visitors to explore the exhibition at three different venues in Hanover. Thanks to staggered opening hours, relaxed gallery hopping is possible a format that encourages both exchange and discovery.
